Dr. Pradeep Chowbey is among the most appreciated and globally recognised laparoscopic surgeons in India who has an experience with more than 45 years of surgical experience. Dr. Chowbey is a real pioneer in minimal invasive surgery and has to his credit over 98,000 successful operations that have made him enter the Guinness Book of World Records and the Limca Book of Records (20 years straight). He is also one of the early surgeons to bring laparoscopic cholecystectomy to North India and the first surgeon in the Asia-Pacific to perform MAFT (Minimally Invasive Fistula Technology). He has an illustrious experience and commitment that have helped mould the future of Minimal Access Surgery, Metabolic Surgery and Bariatric Surgery in India and the Asian subcontinent. Dr. Chowbey has performed over 20,000 surgical procedures at a global level in the field of advanced laparoscopic surgery and has made a significant contribution to the modern surgery revolution across the globe.
In 2011-2014, his centre at Max Healthcare became the first in India to get the Centre of Excellence designation in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and Hernia Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation (USA). Prolific scholar, Dr. Chowbey, has to his credit more than 300 scientific papers published in reputed international and national medical journals. He is also an author of chapters in major surgical textbooks by Springer, Elsevier and Jaypee.
