Overview

Dr. Sharan Choudhri is one of the most prominent surgical oncologists, who has more than 40 years of experience and works as the Director of Surgical Oncology at Max Healthcare. An esteemed veteran of the Indian Army Medical Corps, it was he who had started the first Malignant Diseases Treatment Centre of the Indian Air Force at Bangalore and the Oncology Centre at Delhi Cantonment. He was a Senior Advisor (Surgical Oncology) after being sent to the Armed Forces, then shifted into civilian life with jobs in Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, and Saket City Hospital, working as a Professor and HOD.

Dr. Choudhri has trained in the leading hospitals in the world, including Tata Memorial Hospital (India), Memorial Sloan Kettering (Netherlands), and Kurume and Shimane Universities (Japan), and is a specialist in GI, hepatobiliary, gynecologic, and minimally invasive oncological surgeries. He has also bagged very reputable awards such as the UICC-ICRETT Fellowship and the Young Investigators Award. He also belongs to important surgical and oncology associations in India as well as outside India.
